League of Filipino Students 💙

LFS-UC Berkeley Chapter Organizing Committee (COC) is an anti-imperialist grassroots organization of Filipino student youth (and our allies) committed to fighting for National Democracy in the Philippines. We believe that our homeland will never be truly democratic or free until it is liberated from the control of U.S. imperialism, local landlords, big capitalists, and the corrupt politicians. LFS-UCB endeavors to deepen our understanding of the concrete connections between Filipinos in the United States and in the Homeland by studying and propagating the rich and proud revolutionary heritage of our People’s continuing struggle for liberation and National Democracy. We take it upon ourselves as youth and students to renew our Filipino culture and history, define our present situation as Filipinos all over the world, come to a proper understanding of how to remedy our current condition, and take action. Armed with the lessons of the past, and the unwavering commitment to advance the national democratic aspirations of the Filipino people, the League of Filipino Students (LFS), together with the Filipino masses, will continue to struggle for true liberation and a democracy which will genuinely serve the Filipino masses.
